Seeds of Change

Hello all!

Sanders USD#18 facing budget cuts, and I wanted to let you all know of a grant opportunity we have to get $20,000 to support a collaboration based at the high school between Career and Technical Education, science classes, and the Sanders Clinic to have a sustainable community garden at Valley High in Sanders as an educational and social gathering place for people to learn about agriculture, nutrition, cooking, science, and business while getting some exercise at the same time! It would be wonderful to have a place like this where the community can come together (and also wonderful to have access to fresh, healthy food here!). While part of the judging for the this grant is based on our application, there is an initial voting phase that you can start participating in TODAY. It continues through April 21st. The top fifty organizations with the most votes move on as finalists for the grant money. Whether or not we actually get the grant, this will also be a great way to spread the word, get people invested in this project, gauge community interest in getting involved, and perhaps get us some donations along the way! You can vote every day, and it is as simple as a CLICK! You don’t need to create a login or anything. Please forward if you feel comfortable to as many people as possible!
